THE FUTURE IN PARTY TECHNOLOGY//"There used to be a lot of good hiphop."

APRIL 4=CHECK OUT "MORE BETTER" IT'S GOING TO BE A SPECIAL NIGHT

FOR SOME REASON ROTTURE, THE SPOT WHERE MORE BETTER GOES DOWN, REMINDS US OF BLADE RUNNER?

oh yeah, I think Various is April 5th at BRANX! I am all about it. and mega bass and dubstep on huge speakers! maybe I say it too much? maybe it's too slow for some people? but what's not to like about it. And shit nobody likes hiphop in 2008 anyways.

Speaking of Hiphop, that new Pete Rock is making me like Hiphop in 2008. The majority of tracks that are really bangin in 2008 are borderline downtempo. Dudes like Flying Lotus or Dabrye seem to be extremely comfortable just making beats. The emcees or vocalists that end up on their tracks just spice up the track. Or in most instances are very high level dudes! It's kind of a sad situation for hiphop this year. We'll see how things go. But honestly I want some new hiphop records to play at THE FIX®!!!
I can remember a time when I would buy just about any new hiphop record. That was assuming I really liked the beat.

Now after djing a couple years, I have realized a lot of people don't really even like Hiphop. It doesn't get their blood flowing. Sometimes I can't even feel it. Lately, I been finding myself branching out into other genres. It is sad :) boo hoo

On an industry level, I think everyone is making less music. And more amateur dudes are saturating the internet with lame tracks. There used to be a lot of good hiphop.
where did it all go. I am assuming there will be a new leader in hiphop trends and we will see a resurgence of the genre through that person. until then... keep the fuse lit...

That's all for now.
